This is a report I made in August of 2006, when the ASU Downtown Phoenix campus opened and students began to move into the dormitories there. The dorm was a hotel in earlier times, and it is situated across the street from the Arizona Republic headquarter. This report was made when I was still affiliated with Sun Devil Television (SDTV).
Background Information: ASU Downtown Phoenix (Official Name: Arizona State University at the Downtown Phoenix Campus ) was in planning after Michael Crow became President of ASU in 2002. The school, situated in Downtown Phoenix, now holds the College of Nursing & Healthcare Innovation and the College of Public Programs. By late 2008, the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, along with KAET, the Phoenix PBS affiliate, will also make the move to ASU Downtown.
