360 News, Now Covering All Angles in High Definition

29 11 2007

360 News is proud to announce that it will begin to cover news in High Definition. 360 News has been planning this since September, and the efforts are finally complete as of yesterday.

From now, 360 News will begin to produce all video news reports in stunning 1080i (1080 interlaced lines) high definition format. Any computers built within the last 1-2 years should be able to fully support the format, and playback the video with ease. 360 News will also continue to release video news reports in standard definition format for those whose computer cannot suport HD playback.

Due to technical limitations on the part of YouTube, our videos on YouTube will continue to be in standard definition.

360 News is a student-run gallery of news, aiming to provide coverage of news from all angles, around Arizona State University and in Phoenix. We are the first news organization at ASU to convert fully to High Definition.

Beyond The MU: Pho Nhat

15 11 2007

So, earlier this week, I went to Pho Nhat, a Vietnamese noodle restaurant on the Southeast corner of University Drive and Rural Road, and let’s see what that place is all about!

Pho (or Phở in Vietnamese. Pronounced “fuh” in English) is rice noodle in beef broth. It is a staple Vietnamese food, and there are other Pho places here in Phoenix.

The place is located inside a strip mall, which is packed with restaurants. So, if Vietnamese cuisine is not on your list, there are other choices, such as Chars, which serves Thai food, Gus’, which serves pizza, Delhi Palace, which serves Indian, Pita Fresh, and Blue Nile Cafe, which serves African food.
